about

Hello you, yes, you.

You are listening to 'Witchcraft in the middle of England' by Cult of Wedge.
Basically.

Following on from 2022's 'The Milky Way is full of Dead Civilizations' This album originally was meant to be an experiment started on May Day of that year, to be releaed on May Day 23, sadly due to even sadder personal life events, this never happened and wouldnt have been possible in the circumstances. But anyway, I persevered with some of the other songs that came along, but with nods to the original album theme.

WITCHCRAFT IN THE MIDDLE OF ENGLAND

Recorded between May 2022 and October 2023, at Brikhaus Bunker studio, somewhere in the hills of Rowley Regis, West Midlands, England.

CULT OF WEDGE is, has been, and always will be...

PETE HACKETT, who does the vocals, backing vocals, several species of guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, programming, production, and the rest of it.

Big thanks go out to...
Them indoors, Mark Xavier Evans for the stuff and merchandise without which this wouldnt have been made, Chris Johnston for some image work picture thingys, George the Budgie for the silence except on Born in the 70s.

This album is dedicated to the memory of my parents, without whom, I wouldnt, and neither would this.

Its a bit like a car crash involving members of - E.L.O, Genesis, Human League, Kraftwerk, Motorhead and Yes. With John Shaft and Starsky and Hutch being the first on the scene, with Beck and Air driving the ambulances! ... more
